Sola and Tully is fruit of a creative relationship between artists Helena de Sola and Ronan Tully. Our principal activity is the creation and performance of visual and object theatre for audiences of all ages.
Sola and Tully met in Spring 2012 during Tully’s project McBride and Sons – Circo Islu (Kilkenny Arts Festival, Clonmel Junction Festival, Kinsale Arts Week, 2012) In 2013 the performance was awarded a Golden Dragon Award at the Lleida Puppet and Visual theatre fair in Spain. After this experience working together they formed Sola & Tully to explore new ways of making theatre with it’s roots in the visual using puppetry, object theatre and physical theatre. in 2013 they premiered their first collaborative work ‘Menut Cabaret’ for young audiences.

Ronan Tully (Dublin 1976)
Theatre Artist and third generation Puppeteer, Ronan studied Fine Art at Limerick School of Art and Design, but began his professional performance career at the age of 13 with his Grandfathers company in Dublin. Formerly he has worked as Theatre Development Manager and producer for The Ark, Dublin, Independent Programmer for Dublin Theatre Festival, Artistic Director of Dublin Puppet Festival and South Tipperary Arts Centre.
